The Giant's Causeway

We're settled nicely back into London.  I really do love this city.
I'm editing photos like crazy... Venice, Kew Gardens and the wedding.
I can't wait to show you. Between working and squeezing in time with friends,
the days go by so fast.

Today's post is another stop on the family road trip and what an amazing place.
It's really hard to describe the Giant's Causeway.
You have to see it to believe it.  I can certainly see how stories and legends
have been swirling around this spot for so many year.

Located on the North Atlantic Coastline of Northern Ireland,
tucked in between the dramatic cliffs and the churning waters,
you'll find 40,000 interlocking basalt columns.
Most of them hexagonal and the tallest about 39 feet.

It's almost hypnotic, each foot placement must be deliberate and thought out,
trying to find the best path across the ridge.
I've seen it referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World
and it is certainly wonderul.

We climbed on the rocks like billy goats for about an hour,
each picking our own path.  It's an otherworldly landscape.
And then it was back into the car for our next stop.

Have you followed in the footsteps of Finn MacCool?
