The final stop of our railway journey from Moorish Spain to Morocco was Marrakesh.
Marrakesh was the city we both were the most excited to visit, however, it left us with very mixed feelings.

I have a lot more to say about this city but today, I'm just going to give you a taste with some initial photos.
I still can't believe everything that we saw and experienced in just a week in Morocco.
So many colors, sounds, textures, smells, inducing so many thoughts.
What impressions did Morocco leave you with?
Wow, these photos are great! I love the first one of you and Matthew. Should be featured as your profile pic!
ReplyDeleteSo many colors and details, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMorocco looks gorgeous. It's never really been on my list of places to visit since I didn't know much about it, but lately, I've been seeing so many beautiful pictures and it makes me want to travel there. It's so different from any other place I've traveled to.
ReplyDeleteThat's a definite favorite. It was at an old school and we took them across the courtyard. :D
ReplyDeleteMorocco is overwhelming in architecture, colors and textures. It's too much to process in the moment.
ReplyDeleteIt is very different from any place that I've been before. It's pretty special and I do recommend it. Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Mallory! We've connected on twitter and now I've followed you on bloglovin. Can't wait to read more.

ReplyDeleteYou may not want to read my posts later this week. :) We struggled a bit with Marrakesh. We didn't enjoy it nearly as much at Fez or Rabat. Although like any place, there was good and bad.

ReplyDeleteWhen ever I'm wondering if the weather will ever turn I look at my pics from Morocco. We stopped in a museum and he was doing calligraphy. I had my name written in Arabic. It was beautiful. I wish I'd stayed longer and purchased some more from family & friends. That reminds me, I need to get it framed.
ReplyDeleteYou just made my day! Thanks you :D
ReplyDeleteI love the palm tree phone tower. I wouldn't have even noticed if someone hadn't pointed it out to me. You will love Morocco!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Jade. That's my favorite, too!.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Molly. I have to say that I'm so enjoying your Expat Experience series. I thought of you on Wednesday when we went to get my Indefinite Leave to Remain. We've been so lucky to not be separated. I can't imagine how hard it was for you to be apart for that time. You are one courageous expat! You an inspiration, my dear!
