With no big trips on our calendar for the next few months, I'm looking forward to settling into life in Blackheath.
I've been feeling the lack of balance lately and one of my solutions is to find a regular yoga practice.
I'm just back from my first Well Woman Yoga class. It's within walking
distance and I'm happy to say mission accomplished.
distance and I'm happy to say mission accomplished.
The instructor is very intuitive and nourishing.
I think I'm going to love this class.

She told us to bring a blanket, but I didn't have one small enough to bring.
Instead I grabbed my favorite scarf. I have now decided it's my yoga scarf.
It's blue and I purchased it up in the Atlas mountains of Morocco.
The blue reminds me of my favorite city in Morocco.
We spent a week exploring Morocco last April. Can you believe I haven't blogged about it yet?
Along with the yoga class, I think editing and posting about our amazing trip
Along with the yoga class, I think editing and posting about our amazing trip
will be the perfect way to get me through the next few cold and wet months.
So here is a little teaser to give you an idea.
These are some of my favorite photos from my favorite city in Morocco, Rabat.

It's a beautiful city. I can't wait to get to editing more photos from our trip.
So, expect to see more about Morocco after the first of the year.
How do you keep balance in your life?
I loved Morocco! The colors, textures, scents... so intoxicating!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a book that takes place in Blackheath, how funny! It's called A Vintage Affair. It's pretty good so far :) The main character opens a vintage clothing shop in Blackheath. You should check it out!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Selena - Love the 'dragon tree'!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue. The dragon tree was so cool. I'm still not sure how that happened.
ReplyDeleteSomebody was just telling me about that book the other day! I need to get it. It's ringing a bell, I may have already read it years ago. I need to check my eReader. Perfect time of year for some good books.
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing. It was a little overwhelming at times. Now that I'm looking over the photos, I thinking "Wow! I can't believe I actually saw all of this."
ReplyDeleteMorocco is one of my dream destinations (though I'd mostly go hoping to meet Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, so I accept I might be disappointed), so looking forward to hearing all about it! I've just got into yoga and am loving it - I don't have a yoga scarf, but one of my yoga-buddies gave me a hand crochet yoga mat cover which I am in love with... it's a bit scarf-like.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL photos! Great ~ now I want to go to Morocco. You are always inspiring my travel list. So glad you enjoyed your yoga class. Namaste! xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I'm excited to read about some of your past trips.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to travel to an Arabic country for a while now - I don't know what it is, but there's something about this culture that is calling to me at this moment. And you're pictures and travel recollections are not helping! ;) Can't wait to read and see more!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the picture of the blue doors (yes, my obsession with door photos strikes again!). I'm looking forward to hearing more about your trip :) xx
ReplyDeleteI absolutely ADORE all these photos! They're such small details but make up a story behind the place :) I want to hear more—you're going to post more, aren't you?! I've always wanted to go to Morocco!
ReplyDeleteWow, what beautiful photos. I definitely want to visit Morocco one day. I'm not very good at keeping balance in my life so evidently not the best person to ask!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mandy. I think you would love Rabat. No closer to balance, but I am going to yoga again in the morning! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat makes me so happy! Thanks for pinning it. It was one of my favorites, too because of the colors. So soft & romantic. Thanks for making my day. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Michelle. I still can't believe I was there. And I'll be posting a lot more about Morocco. I just don't know how I'm going to narrow down all of the photographs that I took! Thanks so much for reading & commenting :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Emma. I can't resist a door photo either. I was looking at the photos from Genoa. Door. Door. Door.
ReplyDeleteIt really was such an amazing trip. I would highly recommend Rabat. I'll be writing more soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Jenn!!
ReplyDeleteThese are some of my favorites. All of my photos taken lately have been so dull from the overcast winter sky. I love how bright the photos from Morocco are. I'm going to enjoy editing them. I just can't believe it's taken me so long to get around to it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gina. So many places so little time!!! Namaste! Excited to go back to the class tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWe actually stopped for a bit in Casablanca, but didn't spot Humphrey. I'll be writing more about our trip after Christmas. It was an amazing week. A crochet yoga mat sounds heavenly! I'm going to have to check that out. I'm so glad that you commented! I'm loving your blog and look forward to getting into your archives. So nice to meet you!! Thanks for reading & commenting, Claire!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteMorrocco looks incredible! (pinned :D)
