Rabat, Morocco

With no big trips on our calendar for the next few months, I'm looking forward to settling into life in Blackheath.
I've been feeling the lack of balance lately and one of my solutions is to find a regular yoga practice.
I'm just back from my first Well Woman Yoga class.  It's within walking
distance and I'm happy to say mission accomplished.
The instructor is very intuitive and nourishing.
I think I'm going to love this class.

She told us to bring a blanket, but I didn't have one small enough to bring.
Instead I grabbed my favorite scarf.  I have now decided it's my yoga scarf.

It's blue and I purchased it up in the Atlas mountains of Morocco.
The blue reminds me of my favorite city in Morocco.

We spent a week exploring Morocco last April.  Can you believe I haven't blogged about it yet?
Along with the yoga class, I think editing and posting about our amazing trip
will be the perfect way to get me through the next few cold and wet months.

So here is a little teaser to give you an idea.
These are some of my favorite photos from my favorite city in Morocco, Rabat.

It's a beautiful city.  I can't wait to get to editing more photos from our trip.
So, expect to see more about Morocco after the first of the year.

How do you keep balance in your life?

  2. I'm reading a book that takes place in Blackheath, how funny! It's called A Vintage Affair. It's pretty good so far :) The main character opens a vintage clothing shop in Blackheath. You should check it out!

  4. Thanks, Sue. The dragon tree was so cool. I'm still not sure how that happened.

  5. Somebody was just telling me about that book the other day! I need to get it. It's ringing a bell, I may have already read it years ago. I need to check my eReader. Perfect time of year for some good books.

  6. It was amazing. It was a little overwhelming at times. Now that I'm looking over the photos, I thinking "Wow! I can't believe I actually saw all of this."

  7. Morocco is one of my dream destinations (though I'd mostly go hoping to meet Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, so I accept I might be disappointed), so looking forward to hearing all about it! I've just got into yoga and am loving it - I don't have a yoga scarf, but one of my yoga-buddies gave me a hand crochet yoga mat cover which I am in love with... it's a bit scarf-like.

  10. I've been wanting to travel to an Arabic country for a while now - I don't know what it is, but there's something about this culture that is calling to me at this moment. And you're pictures and travel recollections are not helping! ;) Can't wait to read and see more!

  13. Wow, what beautiful photos. I definitely want to visit Morocco one day. I'm not very good at keeping balance in my life so evidently not the best person to ask!

  19. These are some of my favorites. All of my photos taken lately have been so dull from the overcast winter sky. I love how bright the photos from Morocco are. I'm going to enjoy editing them. I just can't believe it's taken me so long to get around to it!

I'm going to have to check that out. I'm so glad that you commented! I'm loving your blog and look forward to getting into your archives. So nice to meet you!! Thanks for reading & commenting, Claire!! xoxo
