I bet you thought I was all finished gushing about Spain, didn't you?
but I still have one more. And this one will be full of photos.
On our last day in Spain we took a bus tour through southern Spain to visit three of the
beautiful white villages of Andalusia. These whitewashed villages tucked into valleys and perched on crags date back to the Romans and Moors. Each has it's own distinctive character. We visited Grazalema, Zahara and Setenil.

I will confess to having a little panic attack on the journey.
We went up pretty high on some narrow switchbacks.
I'm such a wuss.
I just buried my head in Matt's shoulder and tried not to draw any attention.
There may have been some tears, but it was so worth it.
I'm completely in love with Spain and I want to see every bit.
And I just couldn't narrow down the pictures any further.
I hope you don't mind.
Matt and I both love Spain and can't wait to get back!
Today you can find me mentioned on two of my favorite blogs.
That makes me so happy!

Gorgeous!!! We are thinking of doing Spain and Portugal next year and this post I think sealed the deal for me :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures -- happy and bright! :)))
ReplyDeleteOh! Spain is lovely, isn't it? Your pictures remind me of the town of Mijas that hubby and I visited while in southern Spain a few years back. The whitewashing on all of the homes looks so clean and seems to cast a "coolness" over the warm setting. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Spain yet (in over 4 years of living in England)...these photos make me think I might have to rectify that ASAP!

You take such amazing shots, Selena! You've got a great eye for travel photography.
ReplyDeleteSpain is such a wonderful country so I don't blame you for posting about it so much. Love those faucets, they are amazing. I think I wouldn't mind having one of those in my house!
My heart is melting. I was in the Sevilla for four months. Andalusia is my favorite part of Spain. Your pictures capture it beautifully!

Thank you so much for that, Jade. I always shoot on auto. I really need to take some lessons. We should take out cameras out in London soon for an explore.
ReplyDeleteI really had no idea just how special it is. You must go!! It's right on our doorstep. So glad you popped over!!
ReplyDeleteI actually want to move there. I used to think Italy. But now definitely Spain! Gorgeous is so right!
ReplyDeleteWhen ever I look back on our trip that is exactly how I feel. Happy & Bright!
ReplyDeleteOh! I can't wait to see your photographs! I highly recommend both!!
ReplyDeleteSpain....le sigh! I loved the Andalusian landscape with all the rolling hills and orange groves. Spain is the best and your photos make me want to move there! Earlier this summer we drove through the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and those switchbacks were kind of terrifying. I am totally with you!
ReplyDeleteWe totally should. I've just bought a book on Amazon about exposure and the magical triangle (or something like that!) which was highly recommended for beginners so I'll be sure to send it your way when I'm done!
ReplyDeleteNew follower from Casey's blog! This looks like an adorable town! I loved my experience in Spain and this makes me want to go back!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! Those photos are worth any panic attack. Congrats on pushing yourself to make it up!
ReplyDeleteI will gush over Spain with you!! Definitely up there with England on our favorite place to live!!
ReplyDeleteThe next time you should visit Zufre as well. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThose photos are STUNNING! I'm glad I clicked on over from your guest post on Amanda's blog today. Was it worth the panic attack? ;)
ReplyDeleteI am heading to Spain in October and I can't wait! These are amazing photographs.
ReplyDeleteNice country, shame about the people, you only have to look at their attitude to Gibraltar (all in the news at the moment) to understand what I mean.
ReplyDeleteHow long will you be there and where will you be visiting? You are going to have such a great time!!! Thanks for the sweet comment!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSelena
Amanda, I'm so glad you clicked over, too!! And yep, so worth the panic attack!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSelena
Lucy, Thanks so much for the recommendation! I will add it to my list. I'm going to go Google it right now. xoxo

I'm always such a baby getting through it and then so proud when I get to the top. It was fabulous! Thanks so much for the encouragement!! xoxo

I've decided that Fridays are going to be my day to focus on improving my photography. The book looks amazing! xoxo

Yes, another blogger who posts an obscene amount of travel photos in their post. ;) I love that as I hate limiting myself to just a few. :) That one with the dog is soooo very cute. I love the oranges. I have not been to Spain yet and your photographs were so lovely. I want to go even more now. Thank you for linking up with Belinda and I for Travel Tuesday!

We're going to Barcelona for a week for David's birthday. Hoping to make at least 1 or 2 sides trips with the Pyrenees being one of those.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're back, we can meet up and I'll give you the book. It's fantastic!
