I can't believe it's been over a month since our visit to Harrogate in York.
On a brisk, sunny day we had the quintessential British experience
of queuing up at the original Bettys' Tea Room.
It was everything it should be. Lovely food and great service.
When the waiter noticed my camera he moved us to a
table by the window for better lighting.
Harrogate is such a charming little town.
It seems to have the perfect mix of village life and English countryside.
My friend Gesci lived there for a few years and loved it.
I can certainly see why. If it wasn't such a long commute to London for work,
I would be contacting an estate agent ASAP.
We tried mint tea for the first time in anticipation of our
Spain/Morocco trip which we just returned from yesterday.
It was wonderful, exotic, surprising and exhausting!
After 10 days on a group tour, on crowded trains and in bustling cities,
I'm enjoying a quiet day at home.
In spite of the chill, I have the windows thrown open.
I should be unpacking and doing laundry.
Instead, I've been catching up on my favorite blogs.
As much as I love to travel (and I really love to travel) it feels good to be home.
(It makes me so happy that London now feels like home.)
Now I'm off to tackle that laundry download a ridonculous number of photos
and plan our next trip.
I'm looking forward to catching up with you all!!
