A few weeks ago, I took a walk across Tower Bridge to visit St. Katherine Docks.
It's a quiet, little gem of a place in London.
(More on that next week.)
But while there, I was lucky enough to explore the Phoenicia of the The Phoenician Ship Expedition.
The Phoenicia is a replica of a Mediterranean trading vessel.
In 2008, it set out on a 2 year exhibition to recreate a journey
made in 600 BC around the continent of Africa by the Phoenicians.
It's a beautiful boat and what they accomplished with the exhibition is amazing.
The photo above on the left is actually the toilet jutting off the side of the boat.
I'm sorry to say that the Phoenicia is leaving London today for her next stop.
But, St. Katherine Docks is certainly worth a visit.
Today I am on a train heading to Stratford Upon Avon for some Shakespeare fun.
I'm looking forward to another weekend of exploring this gorgeous island that I now call home.
Have a wonderful weekend!!
xoxo
