...an if thou wert his mother.

Our third stop of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust was Mary Arden's Farm.

This is the farm where Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden was raised.
It is now a working Tudor farm complete with farm animals.

And that was the end of our Saturday in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
It was such a relaxing day.  It felt good to be out in the sun on a crisp Fall day.

Please forgive me for being a blogger of few words today.
The days are getting shorter and colder.  Fall has arrived and I'm busy with the job search.
I hope to have an update soon.

  1. Selena,
Your pictures say it all!! No need for many words. These are just beautiful! Have you looked into photojounalism...maybe in an 'about town' type of newspaper or section of a publication? Perhaps writing tour articles for publication? You have a gift with words and with the camera.

  2. Oh! I have never visited that part of the Shakespeare Trust before. What a lovely farm! So many historical vignettes throughout the house to photograph - and who could get enough of those animals! Thanks for sharing!

  5. I discovered your blog through the Happy Homemaker UK and I love it. My husband and I went to Stratford-upon-Avon a few years ago but we only visited Shakespeare's house. We never got a chance to see Mary Arden's but your pictures make me feel like I was there too.
