I've decided to try and blog about Mom & Mr. B's visit as we go along, rather than after they leave. And so far so good, I'm actually keeping up.
TE commented that the word count is suffering but I think I like doing it this way.
I'm writing this on Wednesday and
scheduling it to post on Saturday while we are exploring Paris.
TE has been at work, so I've been playing tour guide. I must say I'm pretty proud of myself.
I've managed to get us all over London with no major flubs. We've been so busy!
On Monday, we relaxed most of the day and then headed over to the Britain at War Experience on Tooley Street. It wasn't the most modern and professional of exhibits, but it was interesting. It took about an hour to get through and they do have some interesting memorabilia. We enjoyed it.
Woman & Home is actually my favorite UK magazine.
I love it and look forward to every new issue.
Up-cycling before Pinterest.
Mom and Mr. B with their first Pimm's Cup and London Pride at Hayes Gallery.
Later that evening we went for a curry at the Bengal Clipper in Shad Thames.
I highly recommend it... terrific food!
On Tuesday, we walked over Tower Bridge and hopped on a Thames Clipper.
I've written about Greenwich before... here.
We started at the newly refurbished Cutty Sark. They've done a terrific job and it was very interesting to explore. Not to mention, it's beautiful.
After a lunch of Fish & Chips, we headed up the hill to the Royal Observatory of Greenwich. The park was the site of the Olympic equestrian competitions and they were in the process of clearing everything out. We had a bit of a walk around the park, but it was good exercise.
We were there for a little over an hour. It was very educational and interesting.
This is the site of the Prime Meridian and where time starts each day.
Greenwich time is the most precise measure of time that we have.
On our way through the park we met some friendly squirrels and passed a tree that was full of vibrant and loud green birds.
They looked like parrots? They were a little out of place but fun to watch.

As I write this, Mom & Mr. B have gone off to explore the Tower of London on their own. This old lady needed some rest. I can't keep up with those two!
I hope you are having a lovely weekend!!

As I was too lazy to lug around the camera bag, all of these pics were take with the iPhone.
